DESCRIPTION:Join Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care for the Wild Winter Festival\, a family-friendly holiday celebration that supports the injured and orphaned wildlife in our care. Enjoy a full day of seasonal activities\, hands-on fun\, and opportunities to give back. All proceeds help provide food\, medicine\, and rehabilitation for our wildlife patients. \nEvent Highlights\nGuests can enjoy a full day of seasonal activities\, beginning with winter-themed games designed for all ages to test their skills and try to beat the challenges. Families can gather for Reading With Santa and take part in our hands-on craft stations\, where children can create their own ornaments and other holiday projects to bring home. Seasonal beverages\, available in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options\, will be offered throughout the event\, along with fresh holiday greenery such as wreaths and garlands while supplies last. \nSombreros will be onsite serving food\, with 15 percent of all purchases directly supporting LTWC’s wildlife care efforts. Guests can also enjoy Wildlife Talks presented by our team\, and\, weather permitting\, participate in outdoor winter competitions. The festival is open to all ages and offers something for the whole family to enjoy! \n \nBefore You Arrive\nShuttle from LTCC\nParking at LTWC is extremely limited. Guests are highly encouraged to use the free shuttle from the South Lake Tahoe Community Playfields – East Side Parking Lot (GPS: 38°55’32.8″N 119°58’04.4″W or 1300 Al Tahoe Blvd\, South Lake Tahoe). Please park only in the east side lot and do not park at LTCC. The shuttle runs continuously and reaches LTWC within minutes. Drop-offs at LTWC are also welcome. \nNo Pets Allowed\nTo protect our recovering wildlife patients\, no pets are allowed on the property. Service dogs are welcome. \nPurchases\nMost activities at the festival are free for all guests to enjoy. Certain items and experiences\, such as seasonal beverages\, food\, holiday greenery\, and special add-on activities like carnival-style tabletop games\, will be available for purchase\, with all proceeds supporting LTWC and our wildlife care programs. \nDress Warm\nMost activities take place outdoors. Layers are recommended!
