Living Together

Your donation helps save our injured wildlife.

Every orphaned animal we raise, every injured animal we rehabilitate and every healthy animal we release, all rely on donors like you.

People from all over the world are drawn to the natural beauty to the Lake Tahoe region and many of us choose to stay and make it home. However, our presence impacts our animal and bird neighbors and often, these creatures have no defense against windows, poisons, pollution, cars, and all number of other human caused dangers.

So far this year Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care has received 861 orphaned, injured and ill animals and birds. It is our mission to rehabilitate and return them to the wild. Healing injured animals is expensive and labor intensive because these animals require round the clock care, medications and sometimes surgery. We never turn away animals that need our assistance and your donation makes our work possible. While this year’s revenues have been better, we are still 25% below our fundraising goal.

We need your help to keep up with the daily expenses of feeding and caring for all of these beautiful critters. Please donate to our mission to release these animals back into the wild.

Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care is a nonprofit organization in accordance with IRS Section 501(c)3. Our Tax ID #94-2799765. Your gift is tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law.
