Every Contribution Saves a Life and Shapes a Future.

Every day,  wildlife in the Tahoe Basin face challenges they cannot overcome alone—injuries, displacement, or loss of their natural caregivers. At Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care (LTWC), we are committed to providing these animals with a second chance. For over 40 years, we have been at the forefront of wildlife rehabilitation, ensuring that each animal we care for has the opportunity to return to the wild where it belongs. Through education and community outreach, we strive to foster a harmonious coexistence between people and wildlife, securing a future where both can thrive.

This Giving Tuesday, we have set a goal to raise $20,000 to continue this critical work. Your support ensures that we can offer lifesaving care, maintain and improve our facilities, provide education to prevent further harm, and inspire stewardship for the natural world. Together, we can protect Tahoe’s wildlife and the fragile ecosystems they call home.

Why Your Support Matters

  • Wildlife Rehabilitation: From orphaned bear cubs to injured birds of prey, LTWC provides medical care, enrichment, and rehabilitation, giving these animals a chance to heal and return to their natural habitats.
  • Education and Outreach: We equip the community with the tools and knowledge to minimize human-wildlife conflicts and encourage conservation efforts.
  • Preserving Tahoe’s Biodiversity: By preserving biodiversity, we’re protecting the very essence of what makes Lake Tahoe extraordinary.
