Hosted by Bently Heritage Estate Distillery & Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care
This event is a continuation of the deep partnership between the Bently Foundation and Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care. The Bently Foundation has been instrumental to the evolution of LTWC as a professional wildlife rehabilitation organization and has become its most important partner.
Transforming wildlife rehabilitation in the Sierra Nevada mountains
Since 1975, Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care has helped keep the wildlife of the Sierra Nevada mountains WILD by rescuing, rehabilitating, and—most importantly—releasing hundreds of wildlife each year, including bears, bobcats, eagles, raccoons, skunks, squirrels and many more.
Since moving to a 27-acre facility on Al Tahoe Boulevard in South Lake Tahoe in 2019, LTWC has been expanding its facilities and capabilities to meet the increasing needs of wildlife throughout California and Nevada.

The largest of these projects will be the construction of a 4,600 square foot state-of-the-art Hospital and Rehabilitation Center that will greatly increase LTWC’s ability to rehabilitate wildlife.
The new building will be the heart of the organization, featuring:
- Large hospital, surgery and X-ray area
- Two large recovery hot rooms
- Indoor education facility
- Small dormitory for staff providing 24/7 care
- Publicly accessible lobby and animal reception
- Animal food storage and preparation area
- Support for the individual animal care buildings

We need your help!
LTWC is raising $1 million in 2021 to finish the construction of the Hospital and Rehabilitation Center. Two of our most active and generous supporters, The Bently Foundation and MH Buckeye, recognized the critical importance of this building and graciously issued a joint challenge/matching grant of $500,000 to jump-start the fundraising.

LTWC is now just $200,000 away from its goal of $1 million!
We are asking our community of supporters to take advantage of this matching grant. Help us achieve our fundraising goal by the end of 2021 so we can complete the building by 2022. Every dollar you donate is matched 1-for-1, up to our project goal of $1 million.
